I went and watched a local tourney this last weekend and was suprised to see what arimes were represented. I suppose it could have been more extereme, but here is what I saw.
1 Tyranid
1 Tau
1 Ultra Marine
1 Sisters / Dark Angels ???
1 Daemon Hunter
2 Chaos Marines
5 Imperial Guard
Half the people there were playing the same army. And they weren't an interesting army to watch.
I was so sad not to see someone fielding orks.
So what have you seen lately?

Wed, June 23, 2004 - 2:03 PMI havnt been to a tourney lately....Marines still seem to be the popular choice....given how easy they are to play, and the sheer fire power....doesnt surprise me...but I will always remain a devoted Eldar player...always trying new combos...heck, I have even thrown kroot mercs in with the Eldar for shits and giggles...currently working on an army that have Harlequins, played as Banshees, and Dragon riders, played as Shining Spears, with kroot Mercs, and Uthwe' Eldar...visually it should just be a hoot....cant wait to see the confused look on the other players face...

i can't wait until the 4th edition book comes out. I can't justify buying the old book knowing that a new version is coming.

Fri, June 25, 2004 - 3:22 PMI switch off between Tyranid and Dark Eldar armies. My main adversary fields a Tau army and is building and Ork army. My sweetheart plays a massive Sisters (now Witch Hunter) army.
At the nearest store that hosts games they play using unpainted mis-matched models from diffrent armies. It's a little depressing. -

It was 2 Space Marine armies..ine Crimson fist, the other that gosh darn deep strike army, Raven.
I was teamed up with an Eldar army and my Chaos Black Legion.
It was my first time in 10 years..I think I got the hang of it game now...well until 4th ed. comes out.
Now...where's that Eldar army I am supposed to fight? -
